Lynne began quilting in the early 80s. After taking early retirement from teaching Modern Languages, Lynne began making Art Quilts.
Many of Lynne’s quilts have been exhibited in the UK, the USA, Europe and Japan. She is a well-known Art Quilt maker, teacher and speaker.
Lynne’s work is known and recognized by the use of her bright coloured hand-painted fabric. Colour is the most important part of Lynne’s work; she is constantly exploring the way colour works. Her work reflects her personal view of colour. Lynne is inspired by nature and the work of abstract artists such as Matisse, Yves Klein, Mark Rothko, Josef Albers and Rebecca Bluestone, who all share a love of colour.
