Chiaroscuro

Each person made two identical ‘starter’ pieces in response to the painting. One piece was completed by the original artist, and the second was worked on by three colleagues from the group, before being finished by its originator.

The completed works show the progression and contrast of ideas as each artist adds her interpretation. The result is a thought-provoking exhibition of hangings which explore the painting's darker and lighter themes.
